IKC News: UPGRADE Delta 21 Steering Wheel & Vertical 8+ interactive play systems

06 October 2021

UPGRADE: Nitro Dash and Orbits 101 are now Steering Wheel 8+ and Vertical 8+

These adventurous interactive play systems (formerly known as Nitro Dash and Orbits 101) now provide even more fun thanks to a major upgrade! Because of the large demand for entertainment especially for kids between 8 and 14 years old, these gaming consoles have now been expanded with even more exciting games that can endlessly challenge them. Read all about the update and get to know these unique game consoles!   Delta 21 Steering Wheel 8+ The old gaming system Nitro Dash with built-in steering wheel has now been renamed to Delta 21 Steering Wheel 8+. The special Steering Wheel 8+ software now contains as many as three games instead of one! All of them provide endless fun and can be played by turning the steering wheel. The games include the challenging games Blocky Shooter and Chicken Pursuit, and of course the original racing game Nitro Dash. This game console now has a beautifully neutral, white design that fits even better in all kinds of spaces, rather than the original bright orange design with white stripes.   Delta 21 Vertical 8+ The design of the former Orbits gaming console, now known as the Delta 21 Vertical 8+, has barely changed. The gorgeous blue design with a starry sky now also contains two real arcade buttons on the sides to play the games. These are perfect for playing the new Pinball game, a true classic among arcade games! Additionally, the Vertical 8+ software now also contains the world famous game Bubble Shooter, as a third addition on top of the original Orbits 101 space travel game. All games are within this fantastic galaxy theme! Just like the Delta 21 Steering Wheel 8+, the Vertical 8+ is also perfectly suitable for slightly older children from 8 years old. We are constantly thinking of new ways to renew our play concepts! NEW One 4 All Touch Table (DeLuxe) interactive play table

01 August 2021

NEW: One 4 All Touch Table (DeLuxe)

We are proud to introduce our newest play concept made in our own studio; the interactive One 4 All Touch Table (DeLuxe) ! With two editions to choose from, the wooden standard edition and the elegant DeLuxe edition, there is always a play table that best suits your interior. Thanks to its neutral design, this multifunctional table can be used in various organisations, from public areas to vacation lodges, to create play value in an impressive, modern way! The special software on both tables contains 18 fun games, and as many as 24 games on the DeLuxe edition, such as puzzles, board games, racing games and more. Thanks to the special multi touch screen, 4 people can play together at the same time. A conventient alternative to help solve issues with incomplete games with easy to lose parts, and for larger groups of children who wish to play together. The One 4 All Touch Table will be a unique experience they won't soon forget!   What has changed since the sneak peek? We've let go of the round design as we've chosen a rectangular design that perfectly suits the long multi touch display. This way, all players around the table can easily reach the touchscreen, and the lighting on the sides of the table can clearly indicate whose turn it is! Additionally, we have changed the name, formerly known as the Family Play Table, to the One 4 All Touch Table. The main reason: the fun this table provides is not limited to families, as this interactive table can also be used independently by children! The 4 refers to the amount of players that can play a game at the same time. If this peaks your interest, make sure to also check out our wide range of interactive play systems. Or contact us

A child-friendly environment at Hospital CWZ Nijmegen

In an interview with Annette Goosensen, Head of the Paediatrics Outpatient Clinic at the CWZ in Nijmegen, it is clearly stated how valuable a play concept is for the hospital. Due to an internal relocation within the CWZ, the Outpatient Clinic recently went through an extensive renovation. Research has been done among the patients in order to be more in touch with their needs. ‘We researched what patients would like to see in the new department, we collected all this information and discussed it internally. It mainly showed that parents with young children needed a bit of distraction in the waiting room', says Annette, 'We chose to work with IKC, after all they are the specialists in games!’ It is very cool what you can do for parents and children to make a hospital visit as pleasant as possible.  Playing distracts children and makes them feel relaxed. Doctors and nurses notice this later on in the treatment room. A play concept at a strategic location provides a sense of calm and therefore a more efficient way of working. What can children play with? IKC placed various play elements for children to amuse themselves with. With the 17-inch touch screen on the wall, children can play to their heart's content. The free-standing play tower, with wall games on all four sides, provides children with a lot of fun! The games are specially made and have a positive effect on the hand/eye coordination of children. This is stimulated in a playful manner.  Hilarious moments in the waiting room! Annette tells us, with a smile, 'Sometimes children are so focused on playing that they don't even realise it's their turn. Parents sometimes have to point this out to their children, which causes hilarious moments in the waiting room for other patients as well.' Pleasant cooperation! The cooperation with Niels Jellema of IKC is experienced as very pleasant. 'It's nice that there is the possibility to compose the play modules yourself. It has become a beautiful light space, the bright colours of the play modules impress children and create a cosy and pleasant atmosphere in the waiting room'. Create this amazing experience in your waiting room!  Make an appointment!

The evolution of the Supermarket

Week 45 was all about supermarkets with the event: 'Week of the Supermarket'. An event organised for the first time this year by the trade journal Distrifood, and due to the corona measures, this event took place digitally. Through presentations, various people from the supermarket sector gave their views on the retail industry and addressed various themes such as; the changed supermarket, product range trends, green revolution and in-store innovation. Interviews with CEO's and CCO's of Albert Heijn, Jumbo, Hoogvliet and Plus Supermarkets also took place. Reason enough to take a look at the transformations in the supermarket sector. Where people used to go to a grocery store and had to shout every product over the counter, we have been able to go to a self-service shop in the Netherlands since 1946. Since the arrival of self-service stores, entrepreneurs have been able to give more and more attention to the experience in the supermarket. Customers appreciated picking up their groceries themselves, and the supermarket entrepreneur could also play with offers and price tags in this way.  ‘Mum, are we going to the supermarket today with that game screen?’ Nowadays, customers want to have a total experience when they visit the supermarket.  More and more often the supermarket is a place people don't go to because the fridge is empty or for their daily shopping, but also to experience and meet others. The senses are stimulated, many supermarkets respond to this; you can see, feel, smell, taste, discover and compare products.   The upcoming of IKC! IKC has been purveyors of play concepts for supermarkets for years. In 2001 we installed our first kids’ corner in a Dutch supermarket, followed by many supermarket entrepreneurs. Our play concepts ensures that parents have longer time for grocery shopping, and are more inclined to go to a particular supermarket, this ensures a higher turnover. By developing a kids’ corner in corporate identity, children get to know the supermarket's brand at an early age, which ensures a positive brand experience. After all, the child of today is the customer of later.  Mothers prefer to come to us for grocery shopping, because they can take their children with them'. Albert Heijn. We want to show you the evolution about the supermarket sector, in which IKC has played a major role throughout the years and to this day.
